Little Chicks Education Project

Project Overview

The Bird Advocacy Foundation provides an education and community engagement program called the Little Chicks Program which aims to provide information to school children relating to habitat loss, climate change and the impact on Australian native bird wildlife.

This is an empowering program that provides historical insights into the Australian environment and how deforestation, urbanisation and community growth has caused pressure on our native bird wildlife.

Key desired outcomes

Students will develop a strong understanding of the challenges our native bird species are experiencing now and in the future.
Students will learn about habitat loss and its impact on our native fauna and flora.
Students will understand how to individually champion change to prevent bird wildlife species from becoming threatened or endangered.
